Full day trip: Santa Maria Regla

Geological and cultural wonder.

Santa Maria Regla and Huasca de Ocampo are one of the most magical regions of Mexico, known for their geological uniqueness and unmatched wealth.

During our tour we will visit an Aqueduct and UNESCO World heritage site, explore the Basaltic Prisms (Prismas Basálticos) which are impressive rock formations that were formed by volcanic activity and are now a natural wonder and visit one of the main attractions in the area the Hacienda Santa Maria Regla once owned by the richest man in the world. This former hacienda in Mexico, now a museum that showcases the region's history and features beautiful gardens and architecture.

Our journey goes like this:

• Depart from Mexico City, Santa Maria Regla is approximately a 2-hour drive northeast.

• Visit Acueducto Padre Tembleque. (included)

• Explore the Basaltic Prisms (included).

• Lunch at a local restaurant where we will be able to try the regional cuisine, very different from the city . (NOT included)

• Visit Hacienda Santa Maria Regla (included)

• Return to Mexico City.
